Smooth Travelto the 68° North
Getting here should be as calm and effortless as the days spent on the trail.
We want to make your arrival as smooth, scenic, and light on the environment as possible. Because our treks start right here in our immediate local wilderness, there is no need for hours of driving in transfer cars just to reach the trailhead. Less driving means less emissions, less noise pollution, and more time enjoying the purest air in the world. Let’s keep it that way.
By Train – My Personal Favorite
If you ask me, the overnight sleeper train from Helsinki is the absolute best way to start the journey. Watching the landscape slowly shift northward while you sleep or sip morning coffee is an experience in itself. I love waking up in the sleeper car, relaxed and ready for the day’s adventure. From the Kolari railway station, there is a smooth bus connection straight to Muonio. It is also the most eco-friendly choice for reaching the Arctic.

Flying into Kittilä airport is another convenient option, followed by an airport bus connection to Muonio. If you choose to drive or use other travel modes, that is completely fine, too – we know travel needs vary.
Let Me Help You Plan
Figuring out connections in a new place can sometimes feel like a puzzle. I am more than happy to help you map out the best routes, and I can also book your train or airport transfer tickets on your behalf to make your travel effortless.
