    The season in motion

    Spring-Summer changes by the day.

This is the brief window when Lapland is moving from one season into the next. Most snow has melted, the streams flow rapidly, and the first signs of summer arrive in quick succession.

Flowers begin to blossom. Birds begin nesting. Trees begin to leaf out. Across the fells and forest, small changes keep appearing while the midnight sun gives the whole landscape an unusually long, quiet light.

A guided hike here rewards attention. The landscape is not a backdrop that stays still while you walk. It is the story you are moving through, one new shoot, bird call and shifting patch of light at a time.

Fresh leaves arrive while the light lingers.

    The rhythm of the trail

A day shaped by the group.

The wilderness gives us a framework, not a script. Ville keeps the group moving with a calm pace, watches the conditions and makes space for the moments that make the journey worth carrying.

    01

    Read the day first

Each day begins with a route and weather check. Ville chooses a safe, rewarding line for the group in front of him, rather than forcing a plan that no longer fits the conditions.

    02

    Walk in steady sections

The route moves between marked trails and pathless terrain. Walking, pauses, food and water breaks create a sustainable rhythm for a full day outside.

    03

    Carry the shared essentials

Your pack holds personal kit, the meals provided for the wilderness days and your share of camp equipment. A typical pack for wilderness camping weighs 16–20 kg.

    04

    Let the light linger

Set up camp in the evening light, share a simple meal, care for the equipment and take in the landscape. The sun stays present long after a familiar bedtime.

    An honest fit

    A real off-the-grid adventure.

The route includes easy, moderate and moderate+ sections across marked trails and pathless terrain, with most days around 15 km. Wilderness camping means carrying a typical 16–20 kg pack, including your share of camp equipment and meals. That mix takes the group off the beaten track and into the quieter places around Muonio.

If you have a good base of hiking fitness and enjoy long days outdoors, this trek is optimal for you.

    Safety and trust

Good judgement belongs in the plan.

Remote terrain deserves care before the first step. Ville keeps the experience grounded in preparation, clear communication and decisions that respect the weather and the people walking through it.

Nothing beats good old map and compass navigation in the wilderness. As a backup for special situations, we have GPS navigation and InReach satellite features.

    Routes respond to the group

Daily routes and path choices are adjusted to the group’s capability, preparation and the weather on the ground.

    Weather sets the boundary

The plan leaves room for good judgement. Open fell ascents are not chosen when conditions make them unnecessary or unsafe.

    Prepared for emergencies

Advanced first-aid capability and evacuation planning are part of responsible guiding. In certain cases evacuation costs are the responsibility of the person being evacuated.

    A respectful group space

Every guest deserves a calm, welcoming wilderness experience. Discrimination and harassment have no place on the trail.
